Diazepam & big fat swollen feet

For my flight to Singapore I was fully loaded with prescription drugs to relax me for the flight, not because I'm nervous but because I fell on my arse and bruised my tailbone... Sitting for 13 hours was never going to be pretty. Saying this 3 glasses of wine and some sleepers later I was fully relaxed and practically forgot about my back or where I was actually headed. After travelling I have learnt to always cover my face with something whilst sleeping to avoid that awkward moment waking up , mouth wide open breathing dry breath all over your cattle class neighbour... This time I was even more grateful for the t-shirt covering my face when I woke up to a little trickle of dribble on my chin- what a babe!

My second favourite part of any flight is just before landing when you look around to see people who once had normal size feet trying to squeeze these new big fat swollen trotters in their shoes... Me included!

Then there's my favourite part of the flight- landing and seeing the sun beam through the window- you can't feel the heat yet but you know it's coming! This time I felt close to happy tears... GOODBYE England and your soul destroying weather. Oh and then I found out it was snowing at home in April... Even fucking better!!!
